Linda E. Campbell, age 52, of 1190 Arrowhead Trail, Town of Rome (Nekoosa), died Monday, June 10, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield, WI.,
Memorial Services are 11:00 AM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Kristi Kleinbeck will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends at Ritchay Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30-11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Pioneer Cemetery.
Linda was born January 7, 1961 in Milwaukee, WI to Marvin and Nancy (Moseley) Meyer. She married William "Bill" Campbell on May 2, 1987 at the First United Methodist Church in Lombard, IL.
Linda graduated from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL with a degree in nursing. She began her career as a registered nurse working on the medical-surgical and neonatal care units of several Illinois-based hospitals. She was a stay at home Mom for nine years, then returned to nursing as a registered nurse at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, WI where she continued to work while battling cancer.
Linda's extraordinary loving and caring nature touched many and enabled her to provide a level of care for nursing home residents that was second to none. She will be remembered by family as a wife and mother who always put love and kindness first, by the patients she served for the compassion and comfort she provided, by her many friends of all ages and walks of life for the acceptance, kindness and genuine care for others, and by her dog Tilli for her unconditional love and companionship.
Linda is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter, Elizabeth; three sons, Scott, Benjamin and Samuel; two brothers, Jack Meyer and David Meyer; father and mother in law, Vern and Jean Campbell and is also survived by her English Mastiff, Tilli.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy and Marvin Meyer.
