Moody, Patrick T.

Patrick T. Moody, age 50, of Nekoosa, died Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Dept. of Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Tomah.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa. Rev. John Swing will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with military rites by Nekoosa VFW Post 5960. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday at the church from 10-11 AM. Patrick was born July 22, 1963 in St. Paul, MN. He was adopted by Philip "Bud" and Mary Jane (Siegler) Moody in Eau Claire on October 30, 1963. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and graduated from Nekoosa High School in 1981. He was active in track and baseball during his school years. Patrick attended UW Platteville from 1981-1982.

He married Roxanne Koeller on September 21, 1982 in Lancaster, WI. She died along with their daughter, Monika, in a car accident on April 29, 1996. He married Lucinda Turner Bauman. The marriage ended in divorce. He served in the US Army from 1982-1989, obtaining the rank of sergeant. He served in Korea and Germany, where he met his friends, Steven Hapner and Jeff Glackin.

Patrick was employed by Nekoosa Papers, Inc. and Basic American Foods. He enjoyed sports, especially Packer and Badger football, computer and Nintendo games, collecting beer cans and coins, and science fiction movies and television. Patrick was an extremely generous person.

He is survived by three children, Christopher Moody of Waukesha, Mary Moody (Bill Steckler) of Wisconsin Rapids, and Charles Moody of Nekoosa; his mother, Mary Jane Moody of Nekoosa; brother, Philip "Casey" Moody of Nekoosa; and nephew, Travis Moody of Nekoosa.

He was preceded in death by his father Philip Moody, wife, Roxanne Moody, and daughter Monika Moody.
