DeBoer, Theodore John
Theodore John DeBoer was born March 8, 1936, to John and Eleanor of Beach, N.D. The family moved to Wisconsin, where he finished high school and went into the U.S. Army. After his service and schooling, he returned to Wisconsin, where he married and had 3 sons. He took a job with Totem Ocean Trailer Express in Anchorage, Alaska, where he lived many years. He met Pam Connolly and they married in 1999. Two years later, he retired and they traveled and visited many relatives in the "lower 48" until they settled in Wickenburg.
Ted was struck with a massive stroke on Monday December 23th. His four loving children spoke to him via telephone as he lay in the St. Joseph Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Gerald. He is survived by his wife, Pam; sons, Tom (Kim), Tim (Toni) DeBoer, Hutch (Britany) White and daughter Allison (Dan) Nelson. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron (Donna) DeBoer, Bill (Marlene) DeBoer and sister, Jean (Vern) Winefurter.
He was a much loved and well known man in his beloved Alaska and his new life and home in Wickenburg. He was a life member of the Elks and held many offices. He loved his jobs, but first and foremost was his wife, his family, friends and his beloved dog Dixie.
Private memorial service for family was held at David's Desert Chapel on Saturday who is handling the arrangements and the celebration of life at the Wickenburg Elks Lodge #2160 on Sunday, January 5th at 2:00 PM.
