Roeseler, Mangin E. "Ray"

Mangin E. "Ray" Roeseler, age 92, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Pine Ridge Assisted Living Center, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Memorial Services are 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at First English Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Joshua Fite will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday at First English Lutheran Church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, WI at a later date. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is assisting the family.

Mangin was born December 12, 1921 in Whitehall, WI to Edwin and Ruth (Kiser) Roeseler. He married Betty L. Achtenhagen on July 19, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. Mangin was co-owner of Traffic Lines Inc. of New Berlin, WI for 25 years. Mangin and Betty then moved to Wisconsin Rapids, where Mangin was employed at Nekoosa Papers Inc and after retiring from Nekoosa Papers, he drove cars for Greg Ellious Motors for many years.

Mangin served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1939-1945. He was a member of the Red Arrow Club in Milwaukee, WI. Mangin was a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Masonic Lodge #128, was past master of the Paul Revere Lodge #348, member of the GI Consistory, Valley of Milwaukee and was a member of the Tripoli Shrine of Milwaukee, WI. Mangin enjoyed golfing, driving, traveling, fishing and boating.

Mangin is survived by wife, Betty; son, Mangin Carl Roeseler of Port Charlotte, FL; two daughters, Holly Ann (David) Roeseler Adams of Frederick, CO and Ellen Louise Roeseler of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; five grandchildren, Lew (Tessa) Adams, Jamey Adams, Amanda (Craig) Adams Berry, Kirsten (Erik) Roeseler Gerlach and Erich Roeseler; four great grandchildren, Mya Gerlach, Caelen Adams, Camden Adams and Amelia Adams and one sister, Mae R. Roeseler Koleski.

Mangin was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joan Roeseler Palfuss.

Memorials can be designated to the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre.
