Brockman, Margaret Emma

Margaret Emma Brockman, age 86, of 5207 County Road O, Vesper, WI passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. James Catholic Church in Vesper with Fr. Bob Nelson officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Altdorf Cemetery in the town of Hansen. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:30 PM on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and from 9:30 AM Tuesday to time of service at the Church.

Margaret was born in Auburndale, WI on June 4, 1927 to Nick and Emma (Lieble) Schill. She attended Auburndale schools. She married her lifelong friend, Ernest "Bud" Brockman on October 16, 1945 in Auburndale. The couple was blessed with 68 years of devoted marriage union, often seen holding hands.

Margaret was a hard worker helping Bud on the farm, tending her garden and cooking and baking while sharing with many in their time of need. She enjoyed using her cooking talents while employed at West Grand IGA for many years in the deli and bakery.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Bud, and their 3 children, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren: son, Randy (Doris) and grandchildren, Matthew (Heidi), Emma, Isaac, Esther and James; daughter, Kitty (Steve) Durst; grandchildren, Christy (Troy) Martin and their children, Allison and Trevor; Paul (Jen) Durst and Jenny (John) Oehler and their children Grace, Elise and Marshall; son, Richard (Karen); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Scott, Cory and Alex. Margaret is further survived by brothers, Duane and Raymond, sisters, Marie and Delores; and sister in laws, Joan, Rita and Marcy.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Leo, Clarence, Ed and Jimmy; 3 sisters, Cecelia, Helen and Viola; brother in laws, Raymond, Laurence, Wilbert, Leonard, Harold, Ben, Gerald; sister in laws, Clara, Louise, Rose, Dora and Connie.
