Bobby Ray Jordan, 87, of Wilmington, passed away on Saturday evening, March 8, 2014 in the Georgetown Veterans Center.

Mr. Jordan was born in Georgetown and attended Georgetown schools before joining the Navy at age 16. Retiring from the U.S. Navy after 26 years, he served in World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He ran several gas stations in the Wilmington area, and also worked at Dave Chaney Tire and Walmart. He was a member of the American Legion Wilmington Post and was a bowler.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Yvonne in 1969, and Linda in 2006.

He is survived by his son, Louis (Patricia) Jordan and their daughters Brittany and Katelyn, as well as two other granddaughters, Lynn Cope and family and Lei(Q)ghsa House; and a brother, Dick Jordan of Sardinia.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry; and siblings, Juanita Gifford and Wally Jordan.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at the Littleton Funeral Home, 104 N. Jackson St. in Sabina, with the burial following in the Sabina Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. time of the service.
