Blanche I. Reeder Leming, 92, of Wilmington, died on Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Wilmington.
She was born on May 30, 1921 in New Burlington, a daughter of the late George William Evans and Hattie Catherine Scroggy Evans.
Blanche was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Rebecca Lodge and had worked at G. C. Murphy and Walmart in Wilmington. She was also a former Clerk of Port William and was a member of the Clinton County Senior Citizens.
Surviving are two sons, George William (Elizabeth) Reeder of Clarksville and Kenneth A. (Tammy) Reeder of Jamestown; 25 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Reeder; second husband, Earl Leming; and five children, Edward Reeder, Edith Britton, Everett Reeder, Linda Reeder and Sharon Reeder. She was also preceded by two sisters, Edna and Maryanna; two brothers, Carl and Homer; and a great-grandson, Brad Reeder.
The service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. in Wilmington, with Dr. Tom Stephenson officiating. The interment will follow in the New Burlington Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
