SPC Hunter LeVine, 25, of The Woodlands, TX passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Hunter was born on November 13, 1987 in Lafayette, LA. He passed away peacefully in his sleep. Hunter served his country as an Infantryman in Iraq from 11/28/2007 to 5/13/2008. He was honorably discharged on 2/22/2011. Hunter received many military decorations including: Army Commendation Medal (2nd award), Purple Heart, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign medal with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon and Combat Infantry Badge.
Hunter had a bright future ahead of him. He had just completed a dual rehabilitation program at the Southwest Blind Rehabilitation Center at the VA medical center in Tucson, AZ and had planned on attending Lone Star College in the fall to begin a degree in Psychology. His dream was to counsel other wounded soldiers. Hunter was a special man who enjoyed his life...He enjoyed weightlifting, fishing, listening to movies and books online, music and following sports. Hunter loved his friends and enjoyed BBQ's. Hunter had learned to master the latest technology for the blind which included the JAWS computer program, the I-phone 5, and the Apple TV program.
Hunter had the opportunity to touch the lives of so many family members, friends, military brothers, physicians, acquaintances, and he appreciated everything everyone did for him. Donations may be made to a
