Anita Nemetz, aged 80, died peacefully surrounded by her family on June 4, 2013 at home in The Woodlands, Texas after a brief struggle with cancer. She was the wife of the late George R. Nemetz.
She is survived by her six children: Cheryl Nemetz Baratta, Andrea Nemetz, George E. Nemetz and his wife, Nancy Nemetz, Eileen Nemetz Holderman, Kenneth Nemetz, and his wife, Laura Nemetz, and Linda Nemetz Ruff and her husband, Steve Ruff; her 15 grandchildren: Emma Baratta and her husband, Ben Jacobs, Sophia Baratta, Zoe Nemetz, Kate Nemetz, Maggie Nemetz, Jessica Nemetz Swearingen and her husband, Brendon Swearingen, Malori Nemetz, Aundrea Nemetz, Leigh Blanchard, Eric Ruff, Nick Ruff, Jake Ruff, Collin Broughton, Kyle Broughton, Devin Broughton; her three great-grandchildren: Addison, Brooklyn and Charley Swearingen; her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Ed Kuchman; her sister-in-law, Carol Houston; her brother-in-law, Stephen Dobish; ten nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Anita is remembered as a force of nature. She had the gift and talent of loving life, living life to its fullest, and inspiring all those who knew her to try new things and accomplish what they never imagined they could. She was a leader who served many communities and organizations, most notably, the Girl Scouts.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Metcalf Funeral Directors is located at 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas at Highway 105 West. A memorial service will also be held in New Jersey later this month.
