Greg Hanel, age 81, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 in The Woodlands, Texas. Born in Cameron, Texas, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He worked for Marek Brothers for over 47 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Doyle Hanel, and his parents, Adolph and Mary Hanel. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rina Hanel; daughter, Bridgette Manuel and husband Robert; grandchildren, Joshua, Kyle, and Kerri Manuel; sisters, Frances Marek, Barbara Inderbitzen and husband Rudy, Martha Davis and husband Don, Sr. Mary Magdalen Hanel, and Janice Poinsette and husband Jim; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church, 7801 Bay Branch Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77382 with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately later the same day at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
