SIZENSKY, Jr., Stephen John Stephen John Sizensky, Jr., 62, of Boca Raton, passed away on September 11, 2016 after a brief illness. Raised in Stratford, CT, he was born to Stephen and Eleanor Sizensky. He is survived by his wife Susan and son Stephen III, his mother Eleanor, sister Geri Kaputa and her husband Robert. He will be missed by his brothers-in-law Robert and Richard Ogilvie as well as his nephew Robert Kaputa (wife Lisa) and great nephews Ryan and Austin. He was predeceased by his father Stephen Sr. Steve was a professional truck driver and Ham radio operator with a passion for all kinds of music from Rock to Alternative Rock. SOECHTING, Friedrich Otto "Fred"* (The Palm Beach Post)  
SOECHTING, Friedrich "Fred" Otto Friedrich "Fred" Otto Soechting, beloved husband of Gail Soechting, passed away September 21, 2016 in Tequesta, FL. He was born on June 11, 1948 in Vienna, Austria to parents, Friedrich and Elisabeth Soechting, and was raised in Wayne, NJ. Upon graduation from Newark College of Engineering (NJIT) in 1969, Fred was employed by Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, CT. High school sweethearts Fred and Gail married in 1970 followed by a relocation to Tequesta, FL. Fred retired from Pratt & Whitney after 31 years in 2000, later working for Mitsubishi, Belcan, and private consulting. A devoted husband, loving father and respected engineer, Fred enjoyed tending his garden, downhill skiing, and deep sea fishing. He was an avid collector and he loved traveling to archaeological destinations worldwide. In retirement, Fred and Gail enjoyed memorable excursions to Egypt and Peru. Fred was a once in a generation leader in advancing turbine airfoil heat transfer design. His ability was extraordinary to both reduce problems to fundamental physics and teach through practice with the younger engineers. Engineers who developed under Fred's direction went on the be senior leaders throughout industry, government, and academia. His innovations in turbine airfoil design are still being deployed today. His ability to team with academia and industry set the example for how to both develop future heat transfer leaders and build lasting relationships between university researchers and industry. Fred is survived by his loving wife Gail, daughters Greta (husband Alberto) and Andrea (husband Andrew), granddaughter Nayra, mother Elisabeth, brother John, sisters Elizabeth and Anne Marie, and loving extended family and friends. There will be a viewing at Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM, September 30, 2016 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 204 N. U.S. Highway 1, Tequesta. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 S.E. VIERS, James Edward* (The Palm Beach Post)  
VIERS, James Edward James "Jim" Edward Viers of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away on September 20, 2016. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, the magic of the Kentucky Derby always lived in his family tradition. Jim graduated from Atherton High School in Louisville and was awarded a basketball scholarship to The Citadel, the military college of South Carolina. Jim majored in business administration and was under the command of General Mark W. Clark. Upon graduation he was commissioned as a 2nd LT in the US Army and prepared for the invasion of Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After leaving the military, Jim earned a Masters in guidance from Florida Atlantic University and became a guidance counselor in Palm Beach county. Following almost a decade in teaching, he joined the family business of Dorothy E. Viers Real Estate in Lake Worth, Florida. For the next 30 years Jim served as a realtor helping clients on obtaining the American dream and was a member of the National Board of Realtors and the Palm Beach County Board of Realtors. Jim was also an avid Snook fisherman and enjoyed diving for lobster with his wife Kathy in Marathon. He is survived by his son James D. Viers and James's mother Kathy Viers and proceed by his parents Ernie and Dorothy Viers. The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial following visitation will be celebrated at St. Juliana Catholic Church, where Jim was a member, 4500 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, FL at 12:00 PM. WECHT, Bernard Bernie, 85, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2016. He was born March 11 1931, and raised in Pompton Lakes, NJ where he, and his brother Jimmy, owned and operated "Wecht's", a retail store for men's and women's fashions. Bernie graduated from Pompton Lakes High School ('48) and Rutgers University ('52). After returning home from the U.S. Army, Korean War era, Bernie got his MBA from NYU ('55). In June, 1958, Bernie married Leona Guttman and raised four sons, Gerald, David, Robert and Jay. After 32 loving years together, Leona passed away in December, 1990. On July 4, 1994, Bernie married Patricia Griffin and enjoyed 21 devoted years together in Jupiter, FL. They were joined later by their adored rescue dog, "Louie". Bernie is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his sister, Janet Hamler; his sons and their families, Gerry and Terri and children Samatha and Daniel; David and children Jenna, Jaclyn, Isaac and Isabel; Robert and Kim and children Elena, Sarah, Hannah, Joshua and Josiah; Jay and Marie, and their son, Andrew. Bernie was a noble man and a gentle soul who will be remembered for his warmth, wit, integrity, and huge hugs. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society at ( braintumor.org ). A Celebration of Life will take place in Jupiter at a later date. Christian E. Clausen II Port St. Lucie, FL Christian E. Clausen II (Chris), 71, passed away suddenly on September 14, 2016. He was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on April 3, 1945. Chris lived and worked most of his life in Pennsylvania. During the Vietnam era, he served 4 ½ years in the Navy as a jet mechanic. Chris moved to Florida and lived with his wife in the Savanna Club in Port Saint Lucie since 2005, where he was active in the Fishing Club, Men's Club and Bowling League in the community. He also enjoyed playing golf at the area courses. Chris is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty); his son, Erik of Baton Rouge, LA; and his sister, Judy of Montreal, MO. He was preceded in death by his son Christian E. Clausen III. Arrangements will be private and are provided by Yates Funeral Home & Crematory. Memories may be shared at www.yatesfuneralhome.com .
