EVELYN THIEMANN GILBERT 4/17/22 - 5/13/15 Evie Gilbert passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on the early morning of May 13 at Martin Memorial Hospital, Stuart FL at age 93. She was the daughter of Fritz and Martha (Hahn) Thiemann. Her parents and brother Ernst predeceased her. Evie went through the Dover (NJ) public school system where she graduated from Dover High School in 1940. She worked for Prudential Insurance Co. in Dover until her marriage. She was also a Receptionist Volunteer with the USO on Warren Street in Dover until the end of WWII. Evie took time off to raise her two children, then worked at Hercules Powder Co. in Jefferson Township (NJ) and retired from Warner-Lambert Co. in Morris Plains (NJ). While living in Dover, Evie was a member of the Dover Art Assn., The Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, a Lifetime member of the Dover Historical Society, and was on her High School Class Reunion Planning Committee. She was a member of the Dover PTA, a room mother for both children, and the Leader of Girl Scout Troop 124 at the First Presbyterian Church. She was an active parent for the Dover High School Marching Band, and took writing classes at County College of Morris in Randolph. Evie was a member of First United Methodist Church for 25 years, then transferred membership to Mount Fern Methodist Church in Randolph for 15 years. She lived her first 82 years on the south side of Dover: on Penn Avenue, Center Grove Road, and Knickerbocker Avenue. She was an avid gardener and seamstress. She enjoyed piecing and sewing quilts, some of which hung in the Dover Public Library. She also raised Monarch, Swallowtail, and American Painted Lady butterflies. Evie enjoyed hiking at the Reservoir in Randolph Township, conversations with the youth of Dover, writing poetry and short stories, and filling family walls with oils and watercolors. If there was an unfulfilled dream of hers, it was to have been a classroom teacher. On August 13, 2004, Evie moved to Jensen Beach FL. She was on one of the last planes to land at West Palm Beach Airport (PBI) before Hurricane Charley made landfall. She very much enjoyed the welcome Florida gave her! In FL, Evie continued with craft-making and sewed stuffed animals for children in local hospitals. Her husband John E. Gilbert predeceased her in 2002 after 55 years of marriage. She is survived by daughter Lois and her husband Curt Brown of Lancaster, PA and son Tom Gilbert and his wife Diane of Bayonne, NJ. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Clark Brown, Amanda Gilbert and Brian Gilbert. Evie leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins from the Thiemann and Gilbert families. A Memorial Service will be held at the Mt. Fern Methodist Church, 443 Quaker Church Road, Randolph NJ on Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at 11 A.M. Donations may be made in her honor to: Dover Fire Department, 37 North Sussex Street, Dover NJ 07801; Humane Societies in Morris County NJ, or Mt. Fern Methodist Church, 443 Quaker Church Road, Randolph, NJ 07869.

JOSEPH ALPHONSUS GONSIOR Joseph Alphonsus Gonsior, 90, of Wilton Manors, Florida (formerly of Sebastian, Florida), joined his beloved wife, Patricia Mahoney Gonsior, in heaven Tuesday, May 12, 2015. He is survived by his nieces Donna J. De Milt of Orlando, Florida, and Debra De Milt Nichols (Robert) of Peoria, Arizona; his nephew Gary J. De Milt of Santa Barbara, California; his godson and step-nephew Douglas Linne (Ann) of Davie, Florida; and his step-nephews Terrence Linne (Mary Beth) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Robert Linne of Deltona, Florida. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015, at 10:00am in the chapel of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 1701 East Oakland Park Boulevard, Oakland Park, Florida 33334. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kalis- McIntee Funeral & Cremation Center in Wilton Manors, Florida. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in North Lauderdale. GROSSKOPF, Darlene D. Darlene D. Grosskopf, 93, a resident of the Lourdes-Noreen McKeen, West Palm Beach, FL died on Monday, May 18, 2015 with her Family by her side. Graveside services will be at Davenport Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Darlene was born in Davenport, IA in 1921 to Forest and Hortense McQuillen. She married LaVerne R. Grosskopf in 1942 in Davenport. She was a member of Eastern Star, Davenport Chapter #178. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel. She was a Hospice volunteer for many years at the Juno Beach thrift store. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years and sisters, Jeanne Schroeder and Mavis Cline. Survivors include her son, John Grosskopf (Catherine), West Palm Beach, FL and her daughter, Sherry Cook (Mac Dye), Palm Beach Gardens, FL; three grandchilden, Marc Cook, Kristin Matheny (Eric) and Kelley Grosskopf; great grandsons, John Holden Matheny and Cole Matheny, several nieces and nephews and special friend Father Maloney. The Family wishes to thank Rosaline Pineda, Belinda Sembrano and Ewclina Gora for all their wonderful companionship and care. Holmes, Harrell* (TC Palm)  
HARRELL JOSEPH HOLMES Mr. Harrell Joseph Holmes, 88, of Winter Haven, FL, died May 14, 2015 at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven. Harrell was born and raised in Indian River County. He served in United States Navy during WW11. After the war, he attended Mary Karl Automotive School in Daytona Beach, FL. He was a salesman for Sunshine Biscuit Cookie Company and also owned citrus groves and was in the bottled water industry. Harrell married his beloved wife Myrtice later in life and they blended their two families into one. He was a devoted and loving husband and family man. He is a member of The First Baptist Church of Vero Beach where he achieved a Lifetime Deacon award. He loved the Lord and his church family. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Myrtice J. Holmes of Winter Haven; children, Neta J. Holmes (Patrick J. Stover) of Sebastian, Carol J. Black of Orlando, Mona A. Masters (Ernest) of Jacksonville, Martye Black of Winter Haven, Bill Black (Chris) of Phoenix, AZ and Sharon L. Pope (Jerry) of Idaho; two sisters, Rachel H. Ryall and Gladys H. Earman both of Vero Beach; six grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Vero Beach Humane Society of Vero Beach, P.O. Box 644, Vero Beach, FL 32961 or the charity of one's choice in Harrell's memory. Visitation will be held from 10- 11 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Derrick West officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3918, Vero Beach. Interment will be in Winter Beach Cemetery at a later date. Hurtt, James* (TC Palm)  
JAMES HENRY HURTT, IV James Henry Hurtt, IV, of Stuart, FL, and formerly of Newtown Square, PA, died at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. He was 85 years old. Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the beloved husband of Shirley (Rostmeyer) Hurtt for 60 years and son of the late James Henry Hurtt, III and Marion (Nagendank) Hurtt. Mr. Hurtt received his Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Bucknell University in 1952 and was the President and CEO of Mynol, Inc. in Broomall for 27 years. He enjoyed a term as President of the Marple Newtown Jaycees (Junior Chamber of Commerce) in 1963 and was active in the organization for many years. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting small and large game, sport fishing for marlin and sailfish and spending many hours on the golf course, which helped him win several amateur tournaments. He was one of the founding fathers of the Cape May Marlin Tuna Fishing Club in Cape May, NJ. He and his wife moved to Stuart in 1979 and were actively involved with the golfing community at Mariner Sands. He loved his family and shared his enjoyment of his hobbies with them so much that they made them their own. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Terry Ann Hurtt Dalsey, DMD (William Colwell Dalsey, MD, MBA, FACEP) of Blue Bell, Pa; son, James Henry Hurtt, V (Melissa Hurtt) of Lothian , MD, son, Craig Austin Hurtt, DMD (Anne Hurtt) of Chester Springs, Pa and grandchildren: Kaitlyn Dalsey (Deniz Ilhan), Jennifer Dalsey (Quinn Grimes, MD), Kristina Dalsey, Madeline Hurtt, James Henry Hurtt, VI and Christopher Hurtt. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Barbara Beatty of Simpsonville, SC. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 3625 Chapel Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to your favorite charity. Arrangements are by The Oliver H. Bair Funeral Home. (610) 449-8585.
