Edmonds Juanita Pickett Edmonds, age 83, of Max Meadows, Va., went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012. She was born, April 4, 1929, in Wythe County, daughter of the late Albert Pickett and Etta Mae Swecker Pickett. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, James Elmer Edmonds; brother, Donald Pickett; and sisters, Janie Payne and Iris Payne. She was the last living charter member of Picketts Chapel Church of God. She is survived by daughter, Shirley and the Rev. Clayton Quesenberry; son, Dennis and Veta Edmonds, all of Max Meadows; three grandchildren, the Rev. Kenneth and Brenda Quesenberry, the Rev. Andy and Rose Edmonds, all of Barren Springs, Va., and Dusty Edmonds of Max Meadows; five great-grandchildren, Darren and Heather Quesenberry, Hana Quesenberry, Jeremy Edmonds, Shyanne Edmonds and Chase Edmonds; great-great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Quesenberry; sister, Barbara Hancock of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; special caregiver, Mary Elkins; special cousin, Creasy Mabry; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, 8 p.m. at the Fort Chiswell Church of God, with the Rev. Kenneth Quesenberry, the Rev. Andy Edmonds, and the Rev. Tony Hodge officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, 11 a.m. at the Charity Cemetery. The family received friends at the church, Friday, from 6 p.m. until service time.
