Barbara A. Kincer

Barbara Adkins Kincer, 71, of Wytheville died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. at East End Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Collins officiating. She was born Jan. 16, 1937, in Wythe County, daughter of the late Robert B. and Alma Matney Adkins. She was a former employee of Jafree Shirt Factory. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Darrell Pickett of Oak Ridge, N.C.; five sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Terri Kincer, David Kincer, all of Wytheville, James and Anita Kincer of Crockett, Daniel Kincer and Steve Kincer, both of Wytheville; two grandchildren, Scott Evan Pickett and Tiffany Lynn Kincer; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Pickett and Elijah Pickett; and two sisters, Peggy Copenhaver of Wytheville and Virginia Lee Martin of Richmond. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
