Dora Bandy Preuss Dora Bandy Preuss, age 67 of Thaxton, VA, formerly of Bandy, VA, passed away Thurs., Sept. 23, 2010. Born June 3, 1943 at Bandy, VA, she was the daughter of the late Glass and Becky Bandy. She was a member of the Laurel Creek Pentecostal Church at Ravens Nest Branch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by special uncle, George Bandy and special aunt and uncle, Dora Flora and Gray Hughes. She is survived by one son, Troy Preuss and wife, Angela, of Thaxton, VA; one sister, Mary Bandy of Bandy, VA; one brother, Mack Bandy of Bandy, VA; and three grandchildren, Jessika Fivecoat, Justin Preuss and Joey Preuss. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Mon., Sept. 27, 2010 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, VA, with Rev. Bobby Laney officiating. Burial followed in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
