Dorothy Juanita Davidson Helton

Helton Dorothy Juanita Davidson Helton, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. She was born Nov. 6, 1922, to the late Henry and Bessie Harper Davidson. She was of the Christian faith. She was a homemaker with unselfish dedication to her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver "Bo" Helton; two brothers, Thomas "Buck" Davidson and Totten Davidson; one sister, Claire "Tumpy" Davidson; and one son-in-law, Walter E. Clark. Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Clark of Marion and Connie Cullop of Chilhowie; one granddaughter, Penny Clark Everett and husband, Gary, of Christiansburg; two grandsons, Joey and James Cullop, both of Marion; one brother, Eugene Davidson and wife, Phyllis, of Wytheville; her dearest friend, Eleanor Burkett of Marion; her extended family Anita, Jeff, Alan and Charlie Fairley and Justin and Sarah Bussard, all of Maryland, and Emily Everett of Charleston, S.C.; several nieces and nephews; and her extended family at Valley Health Care Center. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Dickie Wilson officiating. Burial followed in Mount Rose Cemetery, Glade Spring. The family received friends Friday from noon until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
