Fletcher Cale Obituary

Cale Fletcher Lee Cale, 67, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 in Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn. He was born in Smyth County to the late Charlie and Bertha Cale and was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Cale, and a brother, Clarence Cale. He attended the Chilhowie Church of God and was retired from the Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute after 33 years of service. In his passing, he gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Imogene Cale; two brothers, Charles Cale and wife, Geraldine, Marion and James Cale and wife Erma, Marion; three sisters, Lily Hayden, Marion, Reba Call and husband, Mike, Lebanon, and Ilene Blevins, Marion; and very special friends, Jimmy Holman and Wilton Blevins. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Attoway Cemetery with Pastor Adam Blackwell officiating. The family will receive friends any time at the family's home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of your choice. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cale was such a nice man---I, too, worked at SWSH and it is people like this that I miss the most. Our sympathy to the family.
