Frances Josephine Salyers Musick Frances Josephine Salyers Musick, 83 of Florence, SC, formerly of Pounding Mill, VA, passed away on Sept. 18, 2010 at her residence after an illness. Mrs. Musick was born in St. Paul, VA, a daughter of the late John and Minnie Harrison Salyers. She was employed for many years as a cook with the Mullins Motel and Restaurant. Mrs. Musick was the last survivor of her family and was a lifelong member of the Holiness Faith. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and going to yard sales. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Bow Musick; a son, Earnest Edward Musick; a son-in-law, Wesley Clendenin; three brothers; and three sisters. Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Clendenin of Florence, SC; three sons, Dennis (Rita) Musick, Lawrence Musick, and Kermit Musick, all of Pounding Mill, VA; two former daughter-in-laws, Debbie Ratliff of Doran and Susie Clark of Richlands; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; and six great great great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home of Florence, 2402 South Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505, to assist the family. The family received friends from 1-3 p.m. Sun., Sept. 19, 2010, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tues., Sept. 21, 2010, at Singleton Funeral Home in Cedar Bluff, VA. Burial followed in Greenhills Memorial Gardens in Claypool Hill. The family received friends from 6-9 p.m. Mon., Sept. 20, 2010, at Singleton Funeral Home.
