Frances R. Johnstone

Frances R. Johnstone Frances Rebecca Johnstone, 80, of Wytheville died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010. Funeral service was held Sunday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Ridenhour and Vicar Jason Felici officiating. Interment was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Bessie Frances Topham Johnstone; and brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Ryan, Dean Stephens, Virginia Moore, John William Johnstone Jr. and Edith Ann Johnstone. Survivors include two sisters, Josephine Slemp of Wytheville and Alpha J. Scott of Marion; a brother, George Johnstone of Wytheville; special nieces, Betsy R. Neal and Jane Festa, both of Wytheville, Claire Ann Nash of Roanoke and Beth Gates of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or St. John Lutheran Cemetery Fund. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
