Garland V. Corvin Garland Vance Corvin, 87, of Wytheville died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010. Funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Ridenhour and Vicar Jason Felici officiating. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. He was retired from Meadow Gold Dairies which was the former Clover Creamery Milk Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II in the European Theater. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Troy and Ida Jane Walters Corvin; and brothers, Roy Fred Corvin, Paul Corvin, Willis Corvin, Walter Corvin, Worley Corvin and twin Glen Corvin. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Gordon Corvin of Wytheville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Bob Ballard, Brenda and Mike Ingoe, Cindy and Art Hedrick, all of Wytheville; a son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Janet Corvin of Hillsville; grandchildren and spouses, Heather and Terry Jones, Chris Corvin, all of Wytheville, Jamie and Betsy Ingoe of Richmond, Casey and Elizabeth Ballard of Wytheville, Amanda Ingoe of Orange, Evan Hedrick and Patrick Hedrick, both of Wytheville; two great-grandchildren, Logan Wingate of Independence and Alexander Ballard of Wytheville; sister-in-law, Willie Corvin of Wytheville; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the Learn Today Lead Tomorrow After School Program at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Wytheville. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
