Davis Harry J. Davis, 84, formerly of Morral, Ohio, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He was born March 21, 1926 in Marion, Ohio, to the late Albert and Sadie (Couthard) Davis. On Aug. 1, 1967 in Elizabeth City, N.C., he married Mattie M. "Pat" (Coley) Davis; she survives in Marseilles, Ohio. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving 30 years as Chief Commissary Man. He retired in 1975. He will be remembered by family and friends as a man with a huge heart who would do anything for anyone. Survivors include his wife, Mattie "Pat" Davis of Marseilles, Ohio; two daughters, Vickey (Doug) Bollinger of Morral, Ohio, and Rebecca (Kerm) Frazier of Richwood, Ohio; six grandchildren, Erica (Mike) Jolliff, Travis Bollinger, Bethany Young, Tyson Bollinger, Trent Bollinger, and Alanis Bowmer; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Jolliff, Daniel King, and Madison King; a son-in-law, Danny Williams of Morral, Ohio; sister-in-law, Ruth Williams of Marion; and a niece, Patricia Williams of Marion. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 15, at 1 p.m. at Boyd-Born Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia St. Marion, Ohio 43302, with Gary Lyons officiating. Burial followed at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation was conducted on Thursday, July 15, from 11 until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.boydbornfuneralhome.com Boyd-Born Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
