James Handy

Handy James Stuart "Jim" Handy, 64, of Troutdale, the Grant community, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 near Troutdale. He was born on November 2, 1945 at Norfolk to James H. and Wilma Dell Cornett Handy. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Roberts Handy of the home; two sons, Ryan Handy of Mouth of Wilson and Darin Handy of Marion; three sisters and spouses, Clara and Scott Hart of Mouth of Wilson, Becky and Donnie Reedy of Troutdale, and Debbie Snow of Fries; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, Independence. Interment was in Baptist Union Cemetery, Flatridge, with the Rev. Danny Tolley, the Rev. Tim Boyette and the Rev. Roger Boyer officiating. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142.
