Jarva Lee Obituary

Jarva O. Lee Jarva Obrian Lee, 70, of Bastian went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at the Bland County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bastian. Funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 1 p.m. at the Bastian Union Church with the Rev. Paul Looney officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Bastian. He was born June 11, 1940, in McDowell County, W.Va., son of the late William Edward and Mabel Duncan Lee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Layton Lee; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mable and Ted Hagy, Tammy and Anthony Cox, all of Bastian; special niece and husband, Della and Colin Tyeryar of Bland; four grandchildren, Zachariah DeAtley, Jesse DeAtley, Ryan Hagy and Jacob Hagy; one great-grandson, Colton DeAtley; special nephews, Richard Tillett, Joshua Tennyson and Gary Tennyson II; three brothers, Jimmy Lee of Chicago, Ill., Marshall Lee and Roger Lee, both of Tazewell; and three sisters, Ina Milan of Tennessee, Della Blankenship of Lexington, N.C., and Ruby Carpenter of Tazewell. A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home in White Gate was in charge of the arrangements.

My thoughts and prays are with all of the family, I know that he loved each of you very much and his grandchildren.I worked with Jarvis and I've know who he was most of my life I enjoyed working with him at the Nursing home and was a joy to be with and he loved to take his smoke breaks.God Bless each and everyone of you.
