Jeverna L. Jones Jeverna "Imojean" Lanter Jones, 72, of Okemah, Okla., formerly of Wythe County, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at a hospital in Tulsa, Okla. A graveside memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 30, in Okemah, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. David and Hallie Cox Lanter; a son, Clarence "Friel" Cregger Jr.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Gravley; three sisters, Helen Hawkins, Mary Livingston and Virginia Lanter; and three brothers, Robert Lanter, Hays Lanter and Roy Lanter. Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Jones Sr. of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeverna and Doug Hall of Fayetteville, N.C., Shirley Crockett of Conway, S.C., and Sharon and Lynn Cregger of Wytheville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Rhonda Cregger of Wytheville, and William "Billy" Jr. and Jean Jones of Okemah, Okla.; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Highland Funeral Services in Wytheville makes the courtesy announcement.
