Louise Lanter Obituary

Louise G. Lanter Louise Grubb Lanter, 72, of Wytheville died on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010. Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Ron Umberger with the entombment in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Grubb Funeral Home. She was the daughter of the late George Clinton and Mary Bedwell Grubb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas E. Lanter Sr., and brother, Claude Clinton Grubb. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and P. J. Pridemore of Wytheville, Elizabeth Lambert of Bristol, Nancy and Bobby Blanchard of Rural Retreat, and Phyllis and Andy Lowe of Marion, N.C.; sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil Gravely of Wytheville, Leonard Gravely of Richmond, Doug Jr. and Dee Lanter of Louisiana, Ronald Lanter of Wytheville, and Stephen and P.J. Lanter of New York; sisters, Elouise Roberson of Pulaski and Verna Lee of South Carolina; 24 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.

Louise,
I can't find the words to say how I feel,a little empty,a little lost.Just knowing you was there ment so much to me.We did not always talked but we all ways loved. My hart is so heavy with sadness.I will see you someday and as all ways you will once again you will be pointing me in the right direction.I love so much and miss you.
