Jackson Mary Sue Jackson, 52, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon. She attended First Baptist Church in Beaver, W.Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jackson. Survivors include two sons, James N. Rose of Johnson City, Tenn., and Christopher L. Rose of Princeton, W.Va.; four sisters, Betty Cardwell and husband, Elmer C. "Noonie" of Saltville, Patricia Brubaker and husband, Sam, of Bell Buckle, Tenn., Alice Rose of Princeton, W.Va., and Ruby Johnson and husband, Devon, of Roanoke; three brothers, Darrell Rose of Tannersville, Mitch Rose of Hamptonville, N.C., and Gene Rose of Tannersville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Peggy Ratliff and Angie Bennett, both of Beaver, W.Va. Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Thompson officiating. Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Crabtree Cemetery in Tannersville. The family received friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by friends and family toward funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made at drhendersonfuneralhome.com. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville was in charge of arrangements.
