Melissa K. Moore Melissa Kaye Kitts Moore, 47, of Max Meadows died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. She was born June 8, 1963, in Wythe County. She attended Liberty Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Maynard Kitts; and a sister, Sylvia JoAnne Kitts Fisher. Survivors include her husband, Michael Moore of Max Meadows; two daughters, Amy Cassandra Moore McGraw of Max Meadows and Sarah Hope Moore of Wythe County; a granddaughter, Trinity Laken McGraw of North Carolina; her mother, Lakie Kitts of Wytheville; two sisters, Alice Kitts Tate and Kathy Kitts Umberger, both of Wytheville; six brothers, James Stuart Kitts of Wytheville, William Ricky Kitts of St. Petersburg, Fla., Fred Maynard Kitts Jr. and Stephen Dulane Kitts, both of Wytheville, Charles Jay Kitts of Walnut Grove, N.C., and Bryan Felty Kitts of Wytheville; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, Oct. 10, from 2 to 3 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
