Brown Pansy Virginia Johnson Brown, 83, widow of Wesley F. Brown, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Suits, and two brothers, Harvey C. and Clifton Johnson. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Geneva and Herman Kirk of Troutdale; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Cecil and Lynne Brown of Meadowview and Roger L. Brown of Wytheville; one sister, Retha Grubb of Troutdale; one brother, J. B. Johnson of Troutdale; three grandchildren, Amy Taylor and husband, Kevin, Jessica Harrison and husband, Brian, and Rebecca Johnson and husband, Jamie; four great-grandchildren, Seth Taylor, Jadyn Johnson, Blake Harrison and Aiden Harrison; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Williams, the Rev. Dennis Eller and the Rev. Sam Blevins officiating. Graveside services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Troutdale Cemetery, Troutdale. The family received friends Saturday from 6 p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.

Geneva, Was so sorry to have just learned of the passing of your mother. We have been on vacation and just returned this weekend. I picked up the paper this morning and read about it. Hope everyone is doing o.k. The family is in our prayers.
