PAULA LINK PUCKETT ROANOKE-Paula Link Puckett, 84, formerly of Check, died at her home on October 22, 2010. She is survived by: her daughter, Joyce; son, Curtis and his wife Justine; brother, Winston and his wife, Mary; many cousins; two very special friends, Janet Toney and Bruce Robinson. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Allie Link and widow of James Puckett, her husband of 61 years. She was a king and loving spirit. She loved her family, friends, relative and animals. She could always make you laugh. A cruel disease took her ability to walk and slowly took her life. A graveside funeral service was held Sunday, October 24 at 2 p.m. at Link Cemetery near Check with Rev. Bruce Robinson officiating. There was no visitation. Arrangements by Wood Funeral Home in Floyd.
