Pauline A. Young Pauline Carol Akers Bonham Young, 65, of Wytheville died Monday, May 17, 2010. A memorial service was held Friday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with Billy Johnson officiating. She was born in Wythe County, daughter of the late Paul and Cora Akers. She was a therapist with Mount Rogers Mental Health. She was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Dean Bonham; a daughter, Virginia Carol Bryant; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rocky Lee and Martha Bonham of Check; a daughter, Robin Lee Caldwell of Danville; a granddaughter, Ashley Anderson of Danville; four grandsons, Ben Caldwell of Danville, Zach Bonham of Check, Jeremy Bryant and Josh Bryant, both of Wytheville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Alice Umberger of Max Meadows, Sue and Ron Corvin of Wytheville; a brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Sadie Butner of Wytheville; a son-in-law, Roger Bryant; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Jean K. Lester, 430 W. Washington St., Wytheville, VA 24382. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
