Robert C. Moore

Moore Robert C. Moore, 91, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the European Theater. He was wounded twice and was the recipient of the Purple Heart award. After the war he was employed by Brunswick Corporation of Marion and transferred when the company re-located to Kalamazoo, Mich., where he worked until retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Georgia Orr Moore of Rich Valley; his wife of 58 years, Marie Murray Moore; and his only son, Michael Robert Moore of Kalamazoo; sisters, Jo Ann Moore (infant) and Ruth M. Carter; brothers, Mack, Bruce, Vance and W.C. Moore Jr. Survivors include his daughter, Pamela M. Mayne; grandchildren, Bridgette, Leslie and Casey Mayne, Michael Christopher and Meghan Moore; great-granddaughters, Kayley, Taylor, Emily and Olivia, all of Kalamazoo; sister, Jean M. Bise; brothers, Jerry Moore of Palmetto, Fla., Willis Moore of Marion, and Donald Moore of Rich Valley. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins are left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory.
