Robert Fuller Obituary

Robert L. Fuller Jr. Robert L. Fuller Jr., 85, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Anderson Place Health Center in Anderson, S.C. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, at 3:430 p.m. at Chapel of the McDougald Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Tony Smith officiating. He was born June 29, 1925, in Wytheville, son of the late Robert L. and Lena C. Fuller. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Norfolk and Western Railroad. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Sue Fuller Mitchell Hottinger, Ireta Fuller Jennings and Ruby Fuller Buchanan; his first wife, Jamie Frye Fuller; and his second wife, Julia B. Fuller. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. White of Sarasota, Fla.; a son, Jerry L. Fuller of Madison, Ala.; a grandson, Matthew L. Fuller of Louisville, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Kathy Harris of South Point, Ohio; a stepgranddaughter, Pamela Spurling of Toronto, Canada; stepgrandchildren, Russell and Laurajean Spurling; and treasured niece and nephews, Cathy Jennings, Woody Jennings and Jeff Jennings. The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 9, following the memorial service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church, 2503 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC 29625. McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson, S.C., is in charge of the arrangements.
