Blevins Steve Milliard "Tar Baby" Blevins, 50, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He fought a courageous battle against cancer for five years and kept his sense of humor throughout. Steve had a love of all cars, people and his pets, which he considered to be family. Survivors include his wife, Terri Blevins; parents, Bobby Joe and Annie Jane Blevins of Chilhowie; three brothers, Allen Blevins, Joey Blevins and wife Mary Ann, and Cody Blevins, all of Chilhowie; sister-in-law, Barbara Miller of Chilhowie; two nieces, Amanda Blevins-Burke and Jennifer Reedy; and one nephew, Justin Miller. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Pastor Joe Lambert officiating. Interment followed in Ridgedale Cemetery in Rich Valley. The family received friends Sunday from 12 until 2 p.m. Bradley's Funeral Chapel of Chilhowie was in charge of arrangements.
