Goodman Thomas Tate Goodman, born Oct. 26, 1957, 52, died Oct. 9, 2010, at his home in Springfield, following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Tate Goodman, first wife, Jean Willis Goodman, grandparents, Charlie and Mildred Surber Burkett of Saltville and Clinton and Gladys Littrell Goodman of Burkes Garden. Survivors include by his wife, Laura Sellars Goodman of Springfield; a son, Christopher Goodman of Annandale; mother, Maxzine Burkett Goodman Euzent Benson and stepfather, Chet Benson of Blountville, Tenn.; brother, Keith and wife, Cyndy Goodman of Rockville, Md.; nieces, Courtney and Allison Goodman; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Ridgedale Methodist Church with the Rev. Ernest Yeatts officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville. Online condolences may be made at drhendersonfuneralhome.com D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville is in charge of arrangements.
