William D. Viars William David Viars, 57, of Max Meadows died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at his residence. There will be no funeral service. He was born May 30, 1953, in Wythe County. He was preceded in death by his father, William Mitchell Viars. Survivors include his wife, Terri Ann Dalton Viars; a son and daughter-in-law, William Travis Viars and Katie of Wytheville; a daughter and son-in-law, Randi Nicole McKinnon and Robert of the Fort Chiswell community of Max Meadows; three grandchildren, Jasmine, Tryson and Cohen; his mother, Mary Frances Viars of Max Meadows; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna Hassen and Steve, Becky Watson and Randy, all of Max Meadows; a brother, Ricky Viars of Max Meadows; four nieces and one nephew; and one great-niece and one great-nephew. The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
