William Suitt Obituary

Suitt William "Bill" Suitt, 68, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at his home in Marion, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 6, 1942 to Viola Campbell Suitt and the late John D. Suitt. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Davenport Suitt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Company A, 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, stationed in Fort Lewis Washington from 1960-1963. He was a graduate of Wytheville Community College and retired from Royal Mouldings. He was an avid fisherman and loved golfing with his friends. He was a loving family man who adored his only granddaughter. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Hall and husband, Ralph, of Atkins; mother, Viola Campbell Suitt of Troutdale; two brothers, John Lee Suitt and wife, Bettie, of Troutdale, and Jack Suitt and wife, Susan, of Milwaukee, Wis.; one granddaughter, Brandi Hall; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Graveside service will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at Corinth Cemetery, Rugby, with the Rev. Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
