McGuire Katrina "Renee" Sue Combs McGuire, 29, died April 11, 2012, in Johnson City Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was a beautiful free-spirited soul to all who passed her way. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Elizabeth; a nephew, Curtis Hill Sr.; a brother, Wayne Combs; sister, Margaret Combs; aunt, Cosby Hess; and an uncle, Cecil Blevins. Survivors include her husband, Steve McGuire; a daughter, Elizabeth Coleman; three sons, Ricky McGuire, Aaron McGuire, and Marcus McGuire; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Buddy Combs and wife, Abby, of Rural Retreat, Danny Combs and wife, Tina, of Chilhowie, Anthony Combs and wife, Amy, of Chilhowie, Roger Taylor and wife, Nancy, of Chilhowie, Jeff Combs and wife, Arby, of Chilhowie and Herman Combs of Chilhowie; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Amanda McGhee and husband, Jamie, of Chilhowie, Kim Pakacki and husband, Andy, of Rural Retreat, Janice Mullins and husband, Derik, of Pulaski, Connie McGhee and husband, Butch, of Chilhowie and Shirley Ann Davidson of Marion; her godmother, Brenda Combs; special family, Terry Hess, Chad Hess, and Indian Gap Grave; special friend, Michael Rouse; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with the Rev. Dennis Eller and the Rev. James Davidson officiating. Interment followed in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 12 until 2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Renee Combs McGuire Memorial Fund: PO Box 250, Chilhowie, VA 24319.
