Carl Edward Steele As the Angelic heavenly choir heralded his arrival, all of heaven celebrated as Rev. Carl Edward Steele was escorted through the gates of Heaven on August, 3, 2012. He was warmly welcomed by his loved ones as he was escorted to his new address of 101 Glory Lane. We all know his first request was to sit at the feet of Jesus and to see God in person as he offered up his praise to him. He was the son of the late Troy and Pearl Belcher Steele and was born in Swords Creek, Virginia. He moved around to several states over the years and returned to settle down here for the last 15 years. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Carl's lifetime passion was serving God and preaching his word. He was a former minister of The United Methodist Church, and later began ministering at the Church of God Prophecy. No matter where he went, he would be carrying his Bible in hopes of reaching out to a lost soul. If you knew Carl, then you know he lived what he preached, and that his life was a testimony in itself. He was richly loved by his friends and family, and he will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Annav Steele; daughter, Carletta Coffey; step-daughter, Wanda Haywood White; half-brother's, George, Tom, Jack, Mermen and Sam Call. Those who survive him to carry on his spirit are: His wife, Marie Steele, of Richlands, VA; daughter, Barbara Cionitti, and husband, Peter, of Olathe, KS; son, Steve Steele, and wife, Pat, of Dallas, GA; step-sons, Jerry Haywood, of Raven, VA, Randy Haywood and wife, Lisa, of Claypool Hill, VA, Ricky Haywood and wife, Becky, of Claypool Hill, VA, Jeff Haywood and wife, Stephanie, of Richlands, VA; sisters, Ann Ratliff, of Oakwood, VA, Venna McCoy, of Johnson City, VA; brothers, Earl Steele and wife, Lovely, of Charlotte, NC, J.P.
