XENIA — Carlile "Curly" Harlow, 91, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Greene Oaks Health Center. He was born July 22, 1922, in Lexington, VA, the son of Dora and Carrie Belle Irvine Harlow. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving during World War II, and was a member of The Valley of the Dayton Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. He retired from General Motors. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Regina (Larry) Sheff, Dayton, a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen (Patricia) Harlow, New Lebanon, four grandchildren, Jason Harlow, Krista (Chad) Fisher, Josh Harlow, and Shane Fuller, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mabel Sanborn, Fairborn and Irene Hilderbrandt, Xenia, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-mother, Blanche Early Harlow, four sisters, Beulah Genter, Viola Blake, Ethel Muterspaw, and Mildred Stephens, by two step-sisters, Mabel Harlow and Opal Reakem, by seven brothers, John Harlow, Ernest Harlow, Tom Harlow, Ralph Harlow, Raymond Harlow, Kenneth Harlow, and Paul Harlow, and by four step-brothers, Herb Early, Elvin Early, Carl Early, and Wilbur Early. Services will be held at 11am, Monday, February 24, 2014, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Harrison Stewart officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Sunday at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7:30pm. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
