H. Janice Williamson

CEDARVILLE — H. Janice Williamson, 95, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014. A long-time resident of Cedarville, Jannie was born April 13,1918 in Washington Court House, Ohio to Doctor Fredrick and Molly Belle Woollard. She graduated from Washington Court House High School and The Ohio State University. Jannie was known affectionately as "Miss Willy" by her students and was a school teacher in the Ross Township and Cedar-Cliff School systems before retiring in 1981. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Fred, a sister Jean Chenoweth, her husband Miron "Skeet" James Williamson and granddaughter Leigh Ann Clark, She is survived by her six children, Steve (Sandi) Williamson of Mason. James (Sherry) Williamson of Jamestown, Susan (Tim) Clark of Jacksonville, Florida, Sally Wiliiamson of Xenia, Roger Williamson of Cedarville and Dan Williamson of Aurora, Colorado. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters in law, nephews and nieces. Jannie was an active member of the Cedarville United Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder, Deacon and numerous boards and committees, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Kensington Club and the Women's Club of the church, as well as Cedarville Opera House Society, Jannie enjoyed her family and retirement at the Ohio Masonic Home for the past several years. The family would like to thank the management and staff of The Ohio Masonic Home and Evercare Hospice & Palliative Care for the wonderful care of their Mother. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Cedarvilie United Presbyterian Church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with the funeral beginning at 11:00 a.m. interment will follow at Massie Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in memory of Jannie to the following: Cedarville United Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, The Ohio Masonic Home Benevolent Foundation, Cedarville Opera House Society, or a Charity of your choice.
