YELLOW SPRINGS Harlen E. Dailey Sr. (Gene) 85, passed away January 12, 2013 at Friends Care Nursing Center in Yellow Springs, Ohio following a lengthy illness. He was born to the late parents, James Chester Dailey and Inez Walls Dailey Ison on October 19, 1927. Also preceding in death are brothers: Willard Dailey, Howard Dailey, and James (Donnie) Dailey; Sister Helen Dailey, and granddaughter Courtney Dailey. He is survived by 5 children; Mindy (Bruce) Dorton of Springfield, Richard Dailey of Jamestown, Nick (Janie) Dailey of Springfield, Doug Dailey of Bowersville, and Harlen Jr. (Michelle) Dailey of Cedarville; 18 grandchildren; Tony Mills, Shannon Mills, Chrissy Mills Brunck, Brent Mills, Derek Dorton, Steve Dailey, Scott Dailey, Tawnya Dailey Smith, Nick Dailey Jr, Alan Dailey, Jessica Dailey, Kelly Pollock, Krystal Dailey, Doug Dailey, Danny Dailey, Tyler Dailey, Stephanie Dailey, Danielle Dailey and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving is Sister Erma Heinz of Jamestown and brother Lee Ison of Xenia and numerous nieces and nephews. Harlen graduated from Ross High School in 1946, following school he enlisted directly into the Navy. He retired from International Harvester after 30 years and enjoyed farming and raising livestock. Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Powers Funeral Home in Jamestown, Ohio from 11:30 to 12:30, funeral at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Grape Grove Cemetery in Jamestown, Ohio.
