XENIA — James W. Donley, Jr., 68, of Xenia, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Soin Medical Center, Beavercreek. He was born February 13, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of James W., Sr. and Adele E. Bales Donley. He was a member of St. Brigid Church, where he was active on the Education Committee. He was a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1801 and was a member of the Greene County Historical Society. He retired from Key Chrysler and from Peoples Savings and Loan. Jim was the proud owner of Spring Valley Merchantile and had a great passion for antiques and old cars. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Dean) Donley, whom he married, July 30, 1983, a son, Andrew C. Donley, Xenia, a sister and a brother-in-law, Carole Ann (Victor) Delgado, Sacremento, CA, a brother, Michael R. (Ellen) Donley, Ft. Myers, FL, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends, including special friends, Tom and Cindy Prugh and George and Cathy Cain. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Donald Alexander. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am, Monday, April 21, 2014, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia, with Rev. John Krumm officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11am, Monday, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Yellow Springs.
