JoAnn "Jody" Cameron

XENIA — JoAnn "Jody" Cameron, 78, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Greene Memorial Hospital. She was born July 23, 1935, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Estel Eldon and Ruth Marie Caplinger Spurgeon. She attended North Side Christian Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty (Mitch) Blankenship, Columbus, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael (Joyce) Cameron, Mountain Home, AR, and Robert (Karen) Cameron, Helena, MT, six grandchildren, Ryan Blankenship, Kyle Blankenship, Shauna Blankenship, Cole Cameron, Andrea Cameron, and Ross Cameron, two great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Blankenship and Jack Cameron, two sisters, Mary (Glen) Carter, Waynesville, and Janet Neeld, Xenia, a brother-in-law, Aubrey Woods, Xenia, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roland "J.R." and Mary "Johnnie" Richardson, Wilmington, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marion "Gene" Cameron, on May 14, 2010, and by two sisters, Wilma Blessing and Dorothy Woods. Jody will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Friday, March 7, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Hugh Hurley officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Friday, until service time. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville.
