DAYTON Mellie "Joyce" Fullen, age 72, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 11, 1940 in Cedarville, Ohio, the daughter of Carl P. and Ivy D. Rogers Holley.
She is survived by her children: Tammy (Bob) Jarnagin of Xenia; Danny (Holly) Webb of Huber Heights; Darin (Michelle) Webb of Pompano, FL; Debbie (Mike) Duncan of Xenia; sisters and brothers: Susie Grimes of Xenia; Phillip Holley of Virginia Beach, VA; Sharleen (John) Venters of Xenia; Ronnie (Darlene) Holley of Coconut Creek, FL; and Allen Holley of Barcelona Spain; 15 grandchildren: Brandon (Brandi), Angus (Alex), Jesse (Veronica), Nathen, Nicole (Jonn), Shane, Kyle, Kassie, Cory, Leslie, Tiffany, Daniel Jr., Brittany, Makayla, and Mikie; 12 great grandchildren: Prestin, Mason, Naia, Olliver, Gabriel, Alyssa, Landen, Allyah, Alexis, Kyler, Carter, and Kylie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends.
Joyce was a graduate of Cedarville High School and Modine's Cosmetology School. She also attended Sinclair College. She served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC). Joyce was an insurance agent with American Family Insurance, operating the Fullen Agency in Dayton. Joyce also published her own poetry book. She retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a contracting specialist. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Xenia.
She was an avid Bingo player, a wonderful mother and a great friend.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 4,2013 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Darryl Perry officiating. Interment to follow in North Cemetery, Cedarville. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
