XENIA — Morris F. Eldridge, age 81, of Xenia, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 14, 1933 in Lewis County, Kentucky, the son of John and Elizabeth (Scott) Eldridge. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Dallas and Homer Eldridge. He is survived by his loving wife Alta G. (McGlone), whom he married October 1, 1952; children: Beverly (Ron) Withrow of Beavercreek and Roger Dale (Pamela) Eldridge of Xenia; 4 grandchildren: Casie Goldberg, Zachary Withrow, Kevin and Ryan Eldridge; 3 great grandchildren: Zoey and Dylan Eldridge and Payton Goldberg; brother: Lowell (Bev) Eldridge and sisters: Kathryn Rodgers and Bonnie (Pete) Plumley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Morris retired from SuperValu. He was a member of the Southside Church of God and enjoyed attending Gospel singings. He and his wife spent 17 winters as "snowbirds" in Florida. Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, July 12, 2014 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Joe Sweet officiating. Interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
