Richard F. Leston, age 60, of Xenia, joined the Saints in Glory, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Greene Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his father, David M. Leston.
He is survived by his mother and step-father: Jennie and George Keiter; 5 children: Derick Leston of Jeffersonville; Amber Leston of Chillicothe; Thomas Leston of Fairborn; Jenna (Seth) Clements of Japan; Brian Leston of Jeffersonville; 4 grandchildren; brothers: David (Darlene) Leston of Cincinnati; Philip Leston of Columbus; Bruce Leston of Jamestown; and Thomas (Sherie) Leston of Kettering; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He worked as a finish carpenter. He was a graduate of Xenia High School, where he had been the lead in the school musical, South Pacific. He had been a musician, as well. He also was a member of First Church of Christ and was an evangelical Christian.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Friday, November 7, 2012 at McColaugh Funeral Home Inc. 826 N. Detroit St. Xenia, Ohio with Rev. Tommy Denny officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Port William Ohio. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
