FAIRBORN — Richard C. "Dick" Kosier, age 85 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday July 16, 2014. He was born February 21, 1929 in Darke County, the son of the late Clark and Gertrude (Brumbaugh) Kosier. Dick was a well respected businessman, retiring from City Loan and Savings after 25 years of service; and followed with employment at Meijer and Muir's Water Conditioning. He attended Huber Heights Church of God and was a people person, family man, and loved kids. Dick was lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, David Franklin Kosier. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alice; two daughters, Karen Martindill of Fairborn, Kathy (Ken) Lucas of Fairborn; two granddaughters, Jessica Lucas and Jackelyn Lucas; a great-grandson, Andrew Dylan Lucas; two sisters, Jacqueline (Edward) Barlage of Russia, OH, Joan Ross of Alexandria, IN; sister-in-law, Betty Kosier; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 24, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a service to celebrate Dick's life will be held on Friday July 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., Rev. Roger Hamilton officiating.
