Russell L. Cline, age 70, a longtime resident of Jamestown passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 in his home. He was born August 6, 1942 the only child of Herman and Astrid (Gustafson) Cline. He was preceded in death by his parents along with aunts, Phoebe (Cline) Scott, Dorcas (Cline) Regial, Carrie (Cline) Milstead, Alma (Gustafson) Swanton, an uncle Ejnar Gustafson and a cousin Lloyd Allen Scott. He is survived by cousins Neil (Vicki) Gustafson and Richard (Terri) Gustafson of Xenia, David (Beverly) Milstead of Beavercreek, Mrs. Lloyd (Miriam) Scott of Cedarville and Betty (Scott) Grooms of Spring Valley. An aunt Helen Gustafson of Jamestown as well as special friends Mike Henry of Washington C.H. and Keith Cavender of Jamestown also survive him. Russell graduated from Bowersville High School in 1960 and then went on to serve his country in the Vietnam War as a radio operator. He retired from UPS after 30 years of service and was a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Xenia Post 1689. He served as Treasurer of the Jamestown Friends Meeting for many years. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Powers Funeral Home in Jamestown with Pastor Bill Medlin officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Internment will follow in the Silver Creek Cemetery.
