Ruth Prugh

XENIA — Ruth Elizabeth Hollencamp Prugh was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt who enjoyed life to the fullest. Her strength and endurance for her 103 years began as a small child on East Second St. born to Katherine and Daniel Hollencamp on October 3, 1910. She was a lifetime member of St. Brigid Catholic Church where she graduated from high school. Ruth attended Miami University, was a member of the track team, and Chi Omega Sorority. After college she worked at the City Building in Xenia for many years. She married George Prugh and together they raised their three children, Kathy, Tom and Mike. Her favorite pastime was playing bridge where she was a champion many times as well as belonging to several women's organizations in Xenia. Her greatest delight was being surrounded by her family sharing happy times together. Most of all she will be remembered for her positive attitude towards life, her humor, her kindness, thoughtfulness to others, and the love she showed her family.
