XENIA — Donald Robert Frost, age 94, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at The Oaks of West Kettering, where he had been a resident for 9 years. He was born July 24, 1919 in Pike County, Ohio. Don was the last surviving child born to Wilbur Edwin and Eliza Jane Johnson Frost. In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice (Jones) Frost and a son: Arthur E. Frost. He is survived by his son: David (Tami) Frost and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his Emmanuel Baptist Church family. Don graduated from the Ohio State University in 1948 with a degree in Dairy Technology. He proudly served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII, being involved in both the European and African Theaters. He was long time member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Xenia and the Xenia American Legion. He spent his last 9 years at the Oaks of West Kettering, 6 of those with his beloved wife, Alice. During his time there Don was greatly loved by the staff who often commented on his bright eyes and beautiful smile. He was known as a gentle and kind man and will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 20, 2014 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with his friend and Pastor Van Holloway officiating.
